SPICY CAULIFLOWER CURRY

              spicy cauliflower curry is more easy to prepare and tasty too.My son's favorite dish.It is well going with rice.It is made with onion.tomato and spices.Try this and enjoy.

Ingredients

  • Cauliflower – 1 (small)
  • Onion – 1 (Big)
  • Tomato – 1 (Big)
  • Chili powder – 1 tsp
  • coriander powder – 1 tsp
  • Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Gram flour – 2 tsp
  • Black pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
  • oil – 3 tsp

To Grind

Ginger – 1 inch piece
Garlic -  4 cloves
Green chili – 1

Preparation Method

1.Chop onion and tomato finely as like shown in the figure.Clean the cauliflower florets by adding hotwater with turmeric powder.

2.Heat oil in a pan.Add fennel seeds .After 1 min,add chopped onions first.

3.Then grind green chili,ginger and garlic like a paste.Add this to the above.Saute it well till the raw smell goes out.

4.Then add chopped tomatoes.Saute it well.Add Chili powder,coriander powder,pepper powder  into it.

5.Now add cauliflower florets.saute it well for 3 min.

6.Add salt,Garam masala  and 1 cup of water into it and close the lid.

7.Let it allow to boil till it is well cooked.Then dilute 2 tsp of gram flour in 1/4 cup of water.add this into the above for thickness.

8.Cook it in low flame for 3 min.Switch off the flame.
9.Now spicy cauliflower curry is ready to taste.

COCONUT CHUTNEY USING REDCHILLI

Ingredients
To Grind
Shredded coconut – 1/2 cup
Red chilli – 1 or 1 1/2
Tamarind – a small piece
Garlic – 1 piece
Water – as required
Salt – to taste
To Temper
Oil – 1 teaspoon
Mustard and urad dal – 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves
Method
Grind the ingredients given above in the column “To Grind “ with enough water.(One redchilli is enough,if you want more spicy then add one more half chilli.)

Temper the ingredients given above in the column “To Temper” and mix it with the coconut.

Enjoy this chutney with Idli or dosa.
