SOYA CHUNKS MASALA /MEALMAKER MASALA

  Soya chunks /Meal maker masala is simple and healthy dish. It goes well  with chapatti. Soya chunks is an excellent source of protein. It serves 2 to 3 persons.
Ingredients
Soya chunks/ Meal maker – 2 cups
Onion – 2 (Medium size)
Tomato – 2 (Medium size)
Green chilli – 2(optional)
Cumin seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
Ginger garlic paste – 1 small teaspoon
Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Chilli powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Garam masala – 1/4 teaspoon
Salt – to taste
Coriander leaves

WHOLE MOONG DAL MASALA

Ingredients
Whole Moong dal – 2 cups
Oil – 3 teaspoon
Onion – 2
Tomato – 2 medium size
Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
Ginger garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Chilli powder – 3/4 teaspoon
Garam masala – 1/4 teaspoon
Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Water – 2 cups
Salt – to taste
Method
Soak the whole moong dal for an hour. Cook it in a pressure cooker for 3 whistles.

Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds first,then add onion.saute it with little salt. Add ginger garlic paste and saute it till the raw smell goes off.

Put some curry leaves and add turmeric powder.sauté it well.

Add the chopped tomatoes and fry it well . Add chilli powder and fry it for a minute, then pour the water into it and cook them well.

Finally add the cooked whole moong dal and then put garam masala and Salt in to it  and mix it well. cook it in a low flame for 5 minutes.

Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.

Whole moong dal masala is now ready to serve with chapatti.
