GREEN PLAINTAIN/VAZHAKKAI ROAST

                                                  

 Vazhakkai Roast is more easy to prepare on weekdays.Kids like to eat this more.

Ingredients

  • Green plaintain/Vazhakkai – 1 (big)
  • Chili  powder – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder – 1/2  tsp
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Oil – 4 tsp

Preparation Method

1.Cut the Vazhakkai with out peel as like shown in the figure.

2.Add 1 tsp of oil,Chili powder,pepper powder and salt one by one.

3.Mix it well and keep it aside for 5 min.Heat 2 tsp of oil in a tawa,Keep the vazhakkai  as like shown in the figure.

4.Check it if both the sides are well roasted.
5.Now vazhakkai roast is ready to serve.

Recipe Highlights
One of the best side dish for chappathi
Ingredients Cooking Time :30  Mins
Pinto bean – 1 cup
Onion – 1
Tomato – 1
Cumin seed – 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder –1/4 tsp
Chilli powder – 3/4 tsp
Garam masala – 1/4 tsp
Coriander leaves
Salt – to taste

Method
Step :1
Soak the pinto bean  for overnight and cook it in a pressure cooker for 3 whistles. 
Heat the oil in a pan and add cumin seed,onion and saute it with little salt.when it comes in to transparent add ginger garlic paste and  saute it till the raw smell goes off.
Add turmeric powder and tomato and fry it till tomato get mushy. Add chilli powder.

Step 2:

Now add the cooked pinto bean and fry it for few minutes.Finally add garam masala,salt and coriander leaves and mix it well

Pinto Bean Masala is now ready to serve.
