MULAI KEERAI PORIYAL


Recipe Highlights
Mulai keerai is more good for health.Green leaves are always good,less in price.
Ingredients Cooking Time : 10- 15Mins
Mulai keerai – a bunch
Small onions – 6 to 7 nos
Green chili- 2 nos
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Oil- 1 tsp
Scrubbed coconut.-3 tsp
Salt - to taste


Method
Step :1
First check the unwanted leaves from the bunch.Clean and rinse thoroughly for 3 times to remove sand and stains.

Step 2:

Chop the leaves finely as like shown in the figure.

Step 3:

Chop onion and green chili finely.

Step 4:

Heat oil in a pan.Add mustard seeds.When it spluttered,add chopped  onions and chilies.Saute it well.

Step 5:
Add chopped green leaves into it.Sprinkle with slightly slightly water every now and then.

Step 6:
Stir it every now and then.

Step 7:
When it is well cooked,add salt.Add Scrubbed coconut into it.saute it well.

BROCCOLI PORIYAL

Recipe Highlights
Healthy side dish for Sambar,Rasam etc..
Ingredients Cooking Time :20 Mins
Broccoli – 1 medium size flower
Oil – 2 teaspoon
Mustard and Urad dal – 1 teaspoon
Salt - to taste
To Grind
Coconut  -  2 teaspoon
Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
Redchilli – 2
Garlic – 1 no.

Method
Step :1
Wash the broccoli and Cut them into small size florets.
Heat oil in a pan add mustard and urad dal,when it starts to splutter and broccoli and mix it well. sprinkle very little water and close it with lid. Let them cook for 10 to 15 minutes.

Step 2: 

Grind the ingredients given above in the column “To Grind”.
Finally add grinded coconut and salt and mix it well. let them cook for another 2 minutes.

Broccoli Poriyal is now ready to serve.
